General Dynamics Mission Systems has won a $15.3 million contract from the U.S. Navy for security toolkit shipset production, engineering and installation support.
This cost-plus-incentive fee, cost-plus-fixed fee and cost-only contract includes options that would bring the cumulative value to $91.1 million if exercised.
Under the contract, Progeny Systems, a General Dynamics Mission Systems business area, will deliver security toolkit shipsets for untethered wireless movement, improving communications, training, qualification and maintenance enabled through integration with submarine and aircraft carrier shipboard networks, the company said.
Progeny Systems was acquired by General Dynamics Mission Systems in 2022.
“Progeny Systems is a trusted provider of mission readiness solutions for Naval nuclear platforms. We look forward to providing the U.S. Navy with enhanced communications in support of our sailors,” said Laura Hooks, vice president and general manager of maritime and strategic systems at General Dynamics Mission Systems.
Work under the contract is expected to be completed by August 2026, and will be performed in Manassas, Virginia; Groton, Connecticut; Las Vegas, Nevada; Port Orchard, Washington; Chesapeake, Virginia; Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; San Diego, California; and Kings Bay, Georgia.
If all options are exercised, work will continue through August 2030.
