CORAS, an IL5-authorized decision intelligence platform used across the Department of War, said Kara S. Barnes has joined its board of advisors.

Barnes served more than 20 years as a senior Directorate of Operations officer at the CIA, where she led interagency teams, managed covert action programs and oversaw counterintelligence and operations units. She also engaged with congressional oversight committees and earned a master’s degree in national security strategy from the Marine Corps War College.

“Kara Barnes brings real understanding of the global challenges facing the entire Intelligence Community and the Department of War,” said Dan Naselius, president and CTO of CORAS. “Kara’s experience managing substantial budgets, technical solutions, and her exceptional critical thinking and leadership will be essential in helping CORAS navigate how we provide value and ROI to our customers and further development of our Agentic AI decision intelligence solutions.”

CORAS said Barnes’ expertise will help guide its work developing decision intelligence tools for federal customers. The company offers its IL5- and FedRAMP High–authorized platform, including its Agentic Agent GARY, through GSA, NASA SEWP, SBIR Phase III, Tradewinds AI Marketplace, Carahsoft and AWS partner channels.
