Exiger Senior Vice President of Government Success Theresa Campobasso is on a mission to make supply chain resilience a core part of the public sector’s strategy.
“The public sector is finally viewing supply chain resilience as a strategic domain, and I’m incredibly proud to lead a team that’s turning that vision into reality every day,” she said.
Her leadership has earned praise from Exiger President Carrie Kaupp, who says Campobasso embodies the kind of forward-looking, mission-driven approach that government agencies need in today’s complex risk environment.
“I spent the first decade of my career in uniform, and my experience in the service taught me the importance of hands-on leaders who not only care about the mission and the team, but also have the foresight to effectively problem solve challenges on the horizon in a positive and collaborative manner,” Kaupp said. “Theresa is that leader. She has an undeniable passion and talent for breaking down and overcoming challenges with future proof solutions that empower our customers to succeed in their roles, deliver on the mission, and shore up our most important critical supply chains.”
In this Q&A, Campobasso discusses her recent work helping government agencies turn supply chain risk into strategic advantage, how generative AI is accelerating full-spectrum supply chain transformation, Exiger’s alignment with federal cost-cutting and efficiency priorities, and the adventurous hobby she pursues outside the office.
What was your biggest recent achievement?
Supply chain risk is so dynamic – and we’ve seen that play out on the world stage in an unpredictable and rapidly-evolving manner this year. Educating decision makers on this reality and on what can be done to navigate this landscape has always been my passion, and I’ve had no shortage of opportunities to put that passion to work.
Alongside Exiger’s roll-out of advanced technology capabilities taking aim at major pain points like critical mineral shortages, tariff fluctuations, growing defense procurement timelines, I’ve been able to work closely with customers to use our technology to turn these risks into strategic differentiators for their departments, for their organizations, and for their missions.
What are you and your team focused on in 2025 and beyond?
Illuminating supply chains and uncovering hidden risks has gone from a sound business strategy to bare minimum table stakes in 2025. Our team is already delivering illumination and visibility as the foundation of our work, but we’ve really moved towards enabling comprehensive supply chain transformation. This is due in part to the explosive and scalable capabilities of generative and agentic AI, which is allowing us to jump light years ahead to provide customers full-spectrum awareness of supply chain risks, and real, immediate actions to build a supply chain that outsmarts competitors, adversarial actors and unpredictable disruption.
How is your company aligning with the current administration’s priorities to reduce cost, streamline operations and improve government efficiency?
Over the past five years, Exiger has generated an estimated $5 billion in savings and cost avoidance for U.S. government agencies through AI and automation, including saving over 87 million analyst hours, eliminating over $500 million in duplicative data subscription costs, and proactively identifying and preventing hundreds of millions of dollars in fraudulent contracts. We’re not just aligned with the administration’s priorities; we’re actively reducing wasteful spending, eliminating duplicative and fraudulent transactions, and securing critical supply chains against foreign threats.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I am really into scuba diving and just got my Advanced certification. My next adventure will be diving in Belize later this year!
