Sabel Systems has launched Sabel Digital Labs, a new business unit aimed at strengthening the company’s digital transformation capabilities and technology offerings across client missions.

“Sabel Digital Labs represent a commitment to empowering our teams and investing in Digital Engineering Platform tools, talent, and technologies of tomorrow,” said Shawn Purvis, CEO and president of Sabel Systems. “This vertical will drive consistency, speed, and shared product offerings across our programs and customers, ensuring we stay at the forefront of technical innovation in the DoD and Commercial spaces.”

The new unit will focus on next-generation technologies, including digital engineering, artificial intelligence and advanced data solutions. Corporate Vice President of Technology Chris Sharbaugh will lead Sabel Digital Labs and oversee its integration with the company’s enterprise strategy.

He will be joined by Mike Baker, promoted to chief technology officer, and Matt Blackmon, named chief product officer. The company said the leadership team brings over 90 years of combined experience in technology and digital engineering.
