HII’s Mission Technologies division is one of several companies awarded a $267 million multiple-award contract to deliver training products and services for the Navy.
The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract allows HII to compete for task orders supporting the Naval Education and Training Professional Development Center and other commands that oversee enlisted education and fleet readiness.
“Sailor training and professional development are mission-critical — especially when it comes to force protection and combat readiness,” said Michael Lempke, president of Mission Technologies’ Global Security business. “This initiative empowers sailors with the technical skills they need to perform at the highest level, while opening doors for career advancement and lifelong learning.”
The contract covers education, training, career development and personnel advancement across the Navy’s force development enterprise. Work includes curriculum development and management systems such as Navy e-learning, which provides sailors with on-demand web-based training. The programs will help sailors adapt to changing mission needs in a network-centric warfare environment.
