Gabe Camarillo recently joined KBR after serving as the 35th under secretary of the Army. In that role, he led the development and oversaw execution of the largest military service’s $185 billion annual budget.
As chief management officer of the Army from 2022 to 2025, Camarillo led significant servicewide reforms, including a comprehensive software development and acquisition policy, foreign military sales and security assistance reform, and the signing of the Army’s first policy encouraging the use of digital engineering.

In 2025, Camarillo and his team will focus on positioning KBR as a recognized leader in the defense engineering services market, leveraging deep domain expertise to accelerate growth across the Defense Department and international markets.

Fun Fact: Though he held significant positions in national security at DOD and in the defense industry over the past 16 years, Camarillo started his career as a lawyer with expertise in campaign finance and election law.
