    Michael Lehr Named SVP of Space & Intel at SMX

    Michael Lehr, SMX

    SMX has appointed Michael Lehr as senior vice president of space and intel, bringing over 30 years of experience leading organizational and P&L growth in national security, aerospace and intelligence sectors.

    Before joining SMX, Lehr was senior director of space systems and advanced programs at General Atomics, where he supported satellite programs for the U.S. Space Force, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Air Force Research Laboratory and the intelligence community.

    He also spent over a decade at Sierra Nevada Corp., leading P&L operations for warfighter capabilities and commercial aerospace initiatives.

    A U.S. Air Force veteran, Lehr holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in systems management from Notre Dame de Namur University.
