Tech solutions provider Emagine has appointed Cedric Sims as its new CEO, effective immediately.

Sims brings over 25 years of experience leading complex system transformations across government and industry. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of enterprise innovation and integration at MITRE, where he led initiatives in cybersecurity, AI-driven policymaking and enterprise integration.

At MITRE, he oversaw the Corporate Strategy Office, Center for Strategic Competition, Center for Data-Driven Policy and Enterprise Computing and Information Services. His leadership advanced MITRE’s mission to provide data-driven, objective recommendations that strengthen agency security, efficiency and mission outcomes.

“Cedric’s leadership marks an exciting new chapter for EIT. His strategic vision and proven track record will strengthen our position in the govtech space while driving innovation, efficiency, and impact for our customers,” said Aamir Saleem, EIT founder and outgoing CEO. “I have full confidence that under his guidance, EIT will continue to thrive and deliver the technical excellence that has been our hallmark for more than 20 years.”

Sims says he is honored to lead EIT and continue delivering what the team is most passionate about: technical excellence for customers in both the public and private sectors. He describes EIT as a hub for digital transformation, connecting proven, industry-leading capabilities with the urgent needs of federal agencies.

“Through plug-and-play innovations and scalable solutions, we accelerate adoption, amplify impact, and enable government leaders to extend limited resources in service of mission-critical outcomes,” he continued. “For more than 20 years, EIT has built a culture of collaboration and customer-focused solutions, and I’m excited to shape the future of this great company alongside our talented teams and trusted partners.”

Saleem will remain with the company, focusing on innovation strategy and business growth. President and Co-founder Song Pak will continue leading EIT’s private sector growth initiatives.
