Maxar Intelligence has been awarded Delivery Order 01 under the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s Luno A program to provide commercial analytic services.

The award focuses on automated object detection using artificial intelligence and machine learning across multiple global sites. Maxar will identify aircraft, ships, ground vehicles and railcars to help NGA track object counts, classify targets, spot trends and anomalies, and conduct spatial and temporal geospatial analysis. The work supports persistent site monitoring using commercial technology at global scale.

Maxar is partnering with Satellogic Inc. to combine the revisit rates and imaging capabilities of both satellite constellations for persistent monitoring and high-resolution imaging. Enabled Intelligence will support model validation and verification, while Striveworks will provide the AIOps platform.

Delivery Order 01 demands high performance under tight timelines, including collecting multiple images across constellations within narrow windows and delivering model outputs within hours. Automation is critical across all phases: collection, computer vision model inference and timely delivery of results.

“This award reflects the power of combining commercial innovation to support national security mission needs,” said Susanne Hake, senior vice president and general manager of Maxar’s U.S. Government business. “By working together with other industry leaders, we’re enabling a powerful combination of diverse sensor data and advanced analytics to help make smarter, faster decisions.”
