Vibrint has acquired Ampsight, a provider of multi-cloud engineering, cybersecurity and artifical intelligence solutions for federal agencies, in a move to expand its customer base to geospatial organizations and boost its capabilities in AI/ML, cloud, cyber and trusted intelligence for national security missions.

“Ampsight brings unique strengths in cloud, cybersecurity, and AI — especially in areas like explainable AI for geospatial and multimodal data — that directly align with the future of mission operations,” said Tom Lash, CEO of Vibrint. “Having worked within the Geospatial Intelligence field and closely with its leaders for over 30 years, this strategic step for Vibrint carries personal meaning for me. I look forward to working with Ampsight to harness their powerful expertise, energy and insight to collaborate for customer success.”

Ampsight’s work helps federal agencies adopt AI while maintaining transparency and accountability. Based in Sterling, Virginia, Ampsight also expands Vibrint’s presence in Northern Virginia.

“We’ve built Ampsight to solve some of the toughest challenges in updating and securing federal technology, from secure cloud adoption to AI you can trust,” said Andrew Heifetz, CEO of Ampsight. “Joining Vibrint allows us to bring our capabilities to new customers as part of a larger platform built to achieve mission success at scale. It’s a fantastic outcome for the Ampsight team, creating new growth opportunities for them. We’re excited by the potential of what we can achieve together.”

The combination of Vibrint and Ampsight brings together strengths in cloud, cybersecurity, infrastructure, analytics and ML to support end-to-end mission technology delivery. The joint team will provide:

    • Cloud and Data Architecture: Multi-cloud and data engineering expertise to improve decision-making and mission workflows

    • Cyber and Intelligence Integration: Zero trust security and threat detection built into operational analytics

    • Secure, Explainable AI: Specialized in AI transparency and validation for geospatial and multimodal use cases

    • Quantum Readiness: Capabilities in quantum information science, post-quantum cryptography and workforce development

    • Mission Resilience: Scalable systems built to meet the demands of high-stakes, connected environments

    • Agility at Scale: A mid-tier model that allows fast delivery without large integrator red tape

Vibrint said the combined team will create new career paths, mission-focused work and a culture of innovation. For partners, it offers an agile, trusted collaborator ready to deliver scalable solutions for dynamic federal needs.

Baird advised Vibrint on this transaction, and McLean Group LLC and Executive Council PLC advised Ampsight.
