Pamela Arya’s biggest recent achievement was leading the team at Iridium, which, together with GDMS, won the SDA Tranche 01 and 02 Ground System. Developing and operating ground systems for other constellations is a new business area for Iridium. It gave the company exposure to new technologies and opened up additional interesting opportunities.
“Providing our customers with reliable communications from space is always the highest priority,” she said.
Why Watch
In 2025, Arya and her team are focused on orchestration of space networks and ways to make the Iridium constellation part of these networks. They are also introducing their first modem with TRANSEC protections.
Fun fact: One of Arya’s hobbies is foraging and eating wild mushrooms. She’s also an amateur mixologist.
