Koniag Government Services has promoted Dr. Eric J. Reyes to chief security officer.

A recognized cybersecurity leader and one of WashingtonExec’s 2023 Top CISO Executives to Watch, Reyes brings more than 20 years of experience in federal law enforcement, industrial security and cybersecurity.

As CSO, he will lead all security operations across KGS, including industrial, physical, personnel and information security. He will also oversee the company’s enterprise cybersecurity program and drive efforts to achieve Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Level 2 in support of Defense Department and other federal missions.

“Eric has built a proactive and resilient security culture at KGS,” said Kevin Wideman, KGS CEO. “His strategic leadership ensures we remain ahead of evolving threats, compliant with federal mandates, and ready to scale securely in support of our customers’ missions.”

Since joining Koniag Government Services in 2020, Reyes has integrated security across all business operations. He has led key initiatives including automating core security functions, launching enterprise-wide training and awareness programs, developing new policies and procedures, integrating cross-functional security technologies and strengthening physical security at KGS facilities. His work has improved the company’s risk posture, operational resilience and compliance with federal security standards.
