Future Technologies Inc. has appointed Garry Schwartz to its board of directors, reinforcing the company’s focus on strong governance, strategic direction and leadership in the defense and intelligence markets.
“Garry’s expertise will be instrumental as we position FTI for our next phase of growth,” said Robert Miller, CEO of FTI. “His leadership experience enhances our ability to solve our customers’ most complex challenges and expand our impact in mission-critical domains.”
Schwartz is chief operating officer of the $2.9 billion Mission Technologies segment at HII, a defense and technology company supporting U.S. military capabilities and national security goals.
He joined HII in 2017 as a subsidiary vice president and general manager overseeing training and simulation, cyber and engineering. From 2018 to 2023, he served as president of several Mission Technologies business units.
Before HII, Schwartz held senior roles at Alion Science and Technology and SAIC, managing defense programs in the U.S. and abroad. He retired from the Marine Corps in 2004 after 21 years of service, including combat tours in Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
“I’m honored to join the FTI board and collaborate with such a dynamic team,” Schwartz said. “FTI’s commitment to excellence aligns with my passion for tackling complex challenges, and I look forward to working closely with the leadership team to continue to strengthen FTI’s position as a trusted partner and drive impactful growth.”
