BAE Systems has received a $188 million full-rate production contract from the U.S. Marine Corps for 30 Amphibious Combat Vehicles equipped with 30mm cannons.
The award includes fielding support, spare parts and test equipment, and marks the first under the FRP Lot 5/6 contract.
The ACV-30 features an integrated medium-caliber remote turret system, which the government is procuring separately and integrating at Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic. The vehicle is designed to transport troops, equipment and payloads while providing firepower and protection. Its lightweight turret preserves platform mobility.
“The ACV is tested and proven to be incredibly adaptable – it not only swims, but it’s also optimized for ship-to-shore, island-hopping, and advanced land operations,” said Rebecca McGrane, vice president of Amphibious programs at BAE Systems. “With enhanced direct-fire lethality via the 30mm fully stabilized weapon system, the ACV-30 helps to ensure Marines are ready for any mission, land or sea.”
BAE Systems is also under contract for the Amphibious Combat Vehicle personnel variant and command variant. The personnel version can carry 13 combat-loaded Marines and a crew of three, while the command version includes multiple workstations for managing situational awareness in combat.
In addition, the company is building three production-representative test vehicles for the recovery variant, which will support field maintenance, recovery and repair for Assault Amphibian companies.
Work on the 30mm Amphibious Combat Vehicle will be performed in York and Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and Charleston, South Carolina, through the third quarter of 2026.
