Amentum has won a $247.6 million contract from the Defense Department’s Air Combat Command to support the Acquisition Management and Integration Center’s Counternarcotics and Global Threats Division.
Amentum will use artificial intelligence, machine learning and advanced analytics to help the Defense Department and partner agencies disrupt financial systems and networks that threaten U.S. interests.
“Our team’s expertise and innovative solutions will play a pivotal role in identifying and disrupting the unlawful financial networks of America’s adversaries, ultimately enhancing the safety and security of our nation and its allies,” said Mark Walter, president of Amentum Engineering & Technology Group.
Under the contract, Amentum will support the Defense Department’s counter-drug, counterterrorism and counter-transnational organized crime missions. Directed by the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Counternarcotics and Stabilization Policy, Amentum personnel will help disrupt and degrade financial networks that support criminal and terrorist organizations. A top priority is targeting the illicit supply chain for synthetic opioids and related money laundering.
The 96-month contract, with a 4-month transition period, is part of the CN> Multi-Award IDIQ in the Operations and Logistics Pool.
