ManTech Deploys Google Vertex/Gemini for Responsible AI

ManTech announced it’s operationalizing Google Cloud’s Vertex artificial intelligence platform and Gemini models within a Controlled Unclassified Information environment at Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Level 2.

The company said this achievement marks a significant step forward in the responsible and secure adoption of advanced AI for government and defense applications.

ManTech uses Vertex AI and Gemini models to analyze large datasets and automate operations. The models’ one million token context window enables deeper insights and faster decisions. Routine tasks like report generation and data summarization are automated, freeing teams to focus on higher-value work.

ManTech said it has prioritized secure implementation of the Vertex AI platform and Gemini models by addressing key requirements for deploying AI in sensitive environments. All CUI data processed by the models is encrypted in transit and at rest to ensure confidentiality and integrity.

The models also provide clear citations to source data in their responses, supporting traceability and validation. To protect proprietary information, ManTech said it enforces strict access controls and data governance policies for both its own data and that of its clients.
