Nightwing has appointed Bob Coleman as CEO, succeeding John DeSimone, who’s leaving the company after seven years.
Coleman is a Nightwing board member who brings decades of technology leadership experience to the role.
“I am honored to join Nightwing at such a transformative time in history that underscores the critical importance of our work and the unique role we play in safeguarding national security interests,” Coleman said. “Nightwing’s incredible legacy has been built on a foundation of bold ideas, relentless determination, and an unwavering commitment to our customers. We look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of innovation, setting new standards of excellence, and strengthening Nightwing’s role as a driving force in the defense and intelligence community as we deliver for our customers and the nation.”
Coleman has held critical leadership roles in industry and has a proven record of building, leading and investing in national security and defense industry companies, Nightwing said.
He was founder, president and CEO of Six3 Systems, where he led the business through its acquisition by CACI. Before that, Coleman was president and chief operating officer at ManTech International. He has also served as a board member of BlackHorse and LookingGlass Cyber Solutions.
“Bob is a seasoned leader with the right experience to guide this business and we are thrilled to welcome someone with his depth of experience and proven leadership capabilities,” said Bobby Basil, chairman of the board at Nightwing. “We share Bob’s passion for the mission and are confident in his ability to position Nightwing for long-term success by focusing on a culture of innovation, people, and operational excellence.”
“On behalf of the Board, I also want to thank John DeSimone for his leadership and many contributions to the Nightwing business over the last seven years. We wish him all the best in his next chapter,” Basil added.
