In this virtual video panel series, WashingtonExec interviews industry and public sector leaders to explore the challenges, innovations, and initiatives shaping the government IT landscape. This video was originally recorded on Jan. 14, 2025.

WashingtonExec’s Amanda Ziadeh sits down with Paula Osborn, deputy chief data and AI officer at the State Department, and Glenn Kurowski, senior vice president and chief technology officer at CACI, to discuss the role of AI tools in government processes, the national security space and beyond.

In this segment, Osborn and Kurowski discuss how they’re introducing AI and generative AI tools into their organizations; how both government and industry are bringing AI into the solution space; the concept of an AI marketplace; navigating bureaucracy when adopting AI tools; and the importance of measuring the value and impact of these technologies and tools.
