Steve Nguyen
General Manager of Government Business Unit, Sayari
In a global economy, tracking bad actors, managing supply chain risks, exposing illicit finance and dismantling fentanyl networks is urgent. Foreign businesses must understand the Chinese government’s influence on domestic and international companies.
Steve Nguyen emphasizes that with a new administration in 2025, addressing trade policies, global markets, economic security and complex supply chains will be critical priorities.
“Now more than ever, it is critical to understand and manage the companies we engage with – their corporate hierarchies, ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs), trading partners and third parties – to safeguard our national interests,” he said.
For nearly a decade, Sayari has partnered with defense, civilian, and state agencies worldwide to provide the transparency needed to combat risks. Designed for full network visibility, Sayari maps connections between corporate entities, shareholders, subsidiaries and supply chains. With data from over 250 jurisdictions, its intuitive network analysis reveals hidden risks.
Why Watch
Since joining Sayari, Nguyen restructured the government team to better serve its evolving needs. Under his leadership, the team plans to double in size in 2025 to address growing global risks. With a $235 million investment from TPG in April 2024, Sayari will accelerate growth and pursue strategic acquisitions to expand its reach and strengthen support for government clients.
In 2024, Nguyen’s team partnered with the defense community on supply chain risk management programs, pioneered first-of-its-kind data integration between commercial and government systems, and helped agencies strengthen their supply chain programs.
“I am so proud of the diversity in our team and the accomplishments we have achieved to support our nation,” he said. “Our team, consisting of sales, services, customer success and engineers, comes from all walks of life but shares a background of working with or directly in the government, providing each member with a unique perspective that enables the team to serve as a vital partner in supporting our customers’ missions.”
Sayari Co-Founder and CEO Farley Mesko said Nguyen will be instrumental in leading the government team’s response to complex mission challenges.
“His strategic vision has already advanced key government initiatives, and we’re positioned to deliver even more mission-focused solutions during this period of heightened global uncertainty,” Mesko said. “Through strong public-private partnerships, Sayari remains committed to bridging gaps between government and private sectors to work toward the greater good and address evolving global risks.”
