DMI announced the divestiture of its commerce, marketing & strategy, and digital engineering services segment to digital engineering services provider Encora.

The divested segment mainly served commercial clients domestically and internationally. DMI will keep its managed services offering for public sector and commercial clients.

After the sale, DMI will focus solely on technology solutions for federal, state and local governments while continuing to provide managed services, the company said.

“We remain steadfast in our core mission to deliver transformative, innovative technology solutions that empower our clients to achieve their goals,” said CEO Rocky Thurston.“Our outcomes driven approach ensures that every solution we deliver – whether through AI, cloud, network management, cybersecurity, or our market-leading managed mobility services – aligns with our clients’ mission-critical needs and empowers them to achieve measurable success.”

The divestiture follows three acquisitions focused on public sector clients, including Simplex Mobility, a provider of asset and expense management software, the company said.
