Steve Nguyen
General Manager of Government Business Unit, Sayari
In today’s interconnected global economy, tackling challenges like investigating bad actors, managing supply chain risks, uncovering illicit financial activity and dismantling fentanyl networks is more urgent than ever. Understanding the influence of state actors, such as the Chinese government on domestic and international companies, is essential for foreign businesses.
Steve Nguyen emphasizes that with a new administration in 2025, addressing trade policies, global markets, economic security and complex supply chains will be critical priorities.
“Now more than ever, it is critical to understand and manage the companies we engage with – their corporate hierarchies, ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs), trading partners and third parties – to safeguard our national interests,” he said.
For nearly a decade, Sayari successfully partnered with defense, civilian and state agencies worldwide to provide the transparency needed to combat risks. Purpose-built for comprehensive visibility into networks, Sayari analyzes connections between corporate entities and groups, such as shareholders, subsidiaries and supply chains. Drawing from corporate and trade data across over 250 jurisdictions, Sayari reveals hidden risks through its intuitive network analysis interface.
Why Watch
Since joining Sayari, Nguyen restructured the government team to better meet the evolving needs of its government customers. Under his leadership, the team plans to double in size in 2025 to tackle the growing complexities of global risks. Backed by a $235 million investment from TPG in April 2024, Sayari will accelerate organic growth and pursue strategic acquisitions to expand its global reach and strengthen support for government clients.
In 2024, the Nguyen-led Sayari government team partnered with the defense community on multiple supply chain risk management programs, pioneered first-of-its-kind data integration between commercial and government systems, and supported numerous agencies in strengthening their supply chain programs.
“I am so proud of the diversity in our team and the accomplishments we have achieved to support our nation,” he said. “Our team, consisting of sales, services, customer success and engineers, comes from all walks of life but shares a background of working with or directly in the government, providing each member with a unique perspective that enables the team to serve as a vital partner in supporting our customers’ missions.”
Sayari Co-Founder and CEO Farley Mesko said Nguyen will be instrumental in leading the government team’s response to complex mission challenges.
“His strategic vision has already advanced key government initiatives, and we’re positioned to deliver even more mission-focused solutions during this period of heightened global uncertainty,” Mesko said. “Through strong public-private partnerships, Sayari remains committed to bridging gaps between government and private sectors to work toward the greater good and address evolving global risks.”
