    Mike Loomis

    CEO, Nokia Federal Solutions

Mike Loomis isn’t just CEO of Nokia Federal Solutions. He also helped launch it, transforming the company into a key partner for the U.S. federal government by aligning Nokia’s commercial 5G innovations with the U.S. federal requirements.

Through the acquisition and integration of the Fenix Group, Loomis led the development of tactical private wireless solutions, including the Nokia 5G Banshee Flex Radio, the first 5G/LTE product for warfighters. His leadership modernized military communications, supporting the Defense Department’s 5G strategy while reinforcing secure supply chains and open standards.

    Why Watch

In 2025, Loomis and his team are heavily focused on accelerating the adoption of 5G tactical private wireless solutions to modernize defense communications and empower warfighters with innovative connectivity. They are driving innovation through the integration of open standards and advanced telecommunications technologies and security innovations tailored to meet U.S. military requirements. By bridging commercial 5G advancements with mission-critical needs, his team aims to provide DOD and federal agencies with scalable, cost-effective solutions that enhance operational readiness and resilience.

“Empowering those who serve our nation with the best technology isn’t just a mission — it’s a responsibility,” he said. “By merging innovation with purpose, we can transform how our warfighters connect, communicate and protect.”

Fun fact: Loomis plays keyboard in a rock and roll dad band.
