Jeff Bankowski has worked with over 20 state governments and the largest cities and counties in the U.S., advising governors and senior officials and presenting to legislative committees on grants management, enterprise risk, operational efficiency and digital transformation.

Recognized as a leader in his field, Bankowski was recently named to The Consulting Report’s Top 25 Government Consultants and Leaders of 2024.

Reflecting on his work, Bankowski expressed pride in collaborating with states to implement transformative reforms that achieved cost savings, improved efficiencies and enhanced government services.

“It has been exciting to work with an amazing team collaborating with clients across the country providing solutions to address our communities’ most challenging issues,” he said.

    Why Watch

In 2025, Bankowski and his team will continue to bring value as state and local governments navigate the pending changes in Washington. This year will bring significant change to state and local budgets as post-pandemic spending ends and the impact of the federal Department of Government Efficiency will be seen across the United States.

“With an innovative approach and dedication to public service, Jeff is instrumental in driving transformative initiatives for our clients,” said Anaita Kasad, partner and state and local government practice leader at Guidehouse.

Fun fact: Bankowski credits his work with state governments nationwide for giving him the opportunity to experience the best aspects of the country. He has visited 49 of the 63 U.S. National Parks and looks forward to completing his goal of seeing them all in the near future.
