    John Heneghan, ECS

    John Heneghan

    President, ECS

In 2024, ECS achieved key milestones that demonstrate client trust in its ability to deliver results. It enhanced AI and machine learning capabilities for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s Maven Program and the Defense Department’s Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office, providing warfighters with improved decision-making tools.

ECS expanded its role in securing federal systems through a new cybersecurity program with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and supported the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s CDM program by enabling real-time, data-driven responses to evolving cyber threats.

“I’m inspired by the dedication of our team and the partnerships we’ve built with our clients,” John Heneghan said. “Together, we’re driving transformation that doesn’t just meet the challenges of today but sets the stage for success tomorrow. Whether it’s integrating frontier AI capabilities, strengthening cybersecurity defenses, or enabling interoperability across systems, ECS is committed to delivering results that matter.”

    Why Watch

ECS is focused on preparing agencies to fully leverage their data and unlock the potential of AI, automation and secure architectures to achieve operational excellence. ECS also expects to be very active in supporting digital modernization strategies for the defense, homeland security and federal health markets.

The company is also delivering innovative solutions around security operations and zero-trust security in environments ranging from the Treasury Department to the departments of Justice, Homeland Security and Defense.

Fun fact: Heneghan is a bit of a gym rat. He plays basketball a few times a week, coaches his daughter’s basketball team and is an avid fan of the UMD Terps and the DeMatha Stags.
