Stephanie Mango
President, CGI Federal
As President of CGI Federal, Stephanie Mango led several key developments in 2024, including the acquisition of Aeyon. This added 725 employees with expertise in government transformation, expanding CGI Federal’s offerings and strengthening relationships with federal clients in defense and civilian sectors.
Under her guidance, CGI Federal won the Enterprise Financial System Integrator Cube contract, leading the modernization of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s financial, asset and acquisition management systems across five DHS components. This work will be one of the first greenfield implementations of an SAP S/4HANA financial management solution within the U.S. federal government. CGI offers extensive federal ERP domain expertise across SAP, CGI Momentum and Oracle Financials.
She has leveraged CGI Federal’s growing body of knowledge into federal ERP needs, enabling CGI to add new technologies, including AI, to its Momentum and Sunflower solutions.
Understanding the profound impact that AI is already having in the government, and its potential for much more, Mango led an initiative to build out internal AI tools, establishing a robust R&D program that led to prototype projects for several clients. By equipping CGI Federal with AI tools and making AI innovation a priority, her leadership has opened the door for powerful CGI-led AI implementations within federal agencies.
Why Watch
In 2025, Mango is focused on improving government efficiencies and leveraging AI and other technologies where they provide real value. She emphasizes delivering the best solutions for clients by combining government and commercial best practices and selecting the right technologies for each situation.
She is also leading a reorganization of CGI Federal’s internal structure and operations to enhance service delivery. This includes completing the integration of Aeyon and other recent mergers, as well as accelerating the adoption of emerging technologies in CGI’s internal processes and client solutions.
“I believe we always have to be forward-thinking,” Mango said. “Especially in times of transition like this year, it’s imperative to keep our eyes on the horizon. We need to understand what’s coming and be there to meet the moment.”
Fun Fact: Mango was a theater nerd in college, working backstage building sets. “What I liked about it is you take all this time to build these intricate, beautiful sets that were functional, and then the night the show is over, you throw it all away,” she said. “There was something for me that was so cathartic about that, just being able to start fresh.”
