QinetiQ Group has appointed Roger Krone as an independent non-executive director to its board.
Krone will also serve as the senior U.S. independent non-executive director and join several committees including Audit, Nominations, Remuneration, and Risk & Security.
Krone’s career includes a role as chairman and CEO of Leidos Holdings Inc., where he served from 2014 until his retirement in 2023. He also held senior positions at The Boeing Company and General Dynamics. He is currently active as a director of Lear Corp. and holds the title of president and CEO of the Boy Scouts of America.
Neil Johnson, group chair of QinetiQ, expressed confidence in Krone’s appointment, citing his “extensive and transformational leadership experience” as a valuable asset for QinetiQ’s growth, particularly in the U.S. market. He highlighted Krone’s track record at Leidos, and his knowledge of the defense and security industry.
