Peraton won the prime contract spot in the $121 million contract providing strategic mission support for U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa.

The command’s mission is centered on collaborating with African partners to build lasting capacity, support multinational operations and counter transnational threats.

“We are proud to be selected as the prime contractor to continue supporting U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa in its mission,” said Tom Afferton, president of the cyber mission sector at Peraton. “This contract allows us to leverage our expertise in mission support to directly contribute to U.S. national security interests, enhancing the safety of our troops while strengthening our partnerships and influence across Africa,” Afferton said. “We look forward to continuing to deliver high-quality, reliable services that enhance the effectiveness of U.S. operations in this critical region.”

The recompete contract builds on the company’s previous involvement as a subcontractor and marks a significant step forward in expanding its support to U.S. military operations across Africa, the company said.

Under this contract, Peraton will deliver a range of services aimed at enhancing U.S. military operations and strategic objectives in Africa. The scope of support includes mission planning and strategic operations; logistics and supply chain management; IT, communications and knowledge management; and other services.
