    Top National Security Execs to Watch in 2024: ECS’ Chris Drew

    Chris Drew leads the execution, delivery and growth of ECS’ homeland security division. Recently, ECS partnered with growing Department of Homeland Security organizations like the Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security Agency and multiple directorates within the DHS Office of the Chief Information Officer.

    As a trusted partner, ECS develops roadmaps and implements solutions to advance enterprise data, AI, customer experience and cybersecurity efforts while ensuring compliance with executive orders and federal laws such as the Evidence Act. These initiatives allow ECS to understand data applications across the department and improve decision-making at DHS. Drew takes pride in delivering an exceptional customer experience and making an impact on DHS’ critical missions. ECS’ Homeland Security teams work across DHS components to solve challenges and enhance services.

    “Supporting DHS for 12-plus years has been the most rewarding period of my career,” Drew said. “I am humbled by our team’s dedication and proud of the passion they bring to modernizing and supporting DHS’ critical missions. I look forward to continuing our close partnership with our government customers.”

    Why Watch

    In 2024, Drew and his teams will focus on advancing DHS’s transformation, leveraging ECS’ expertise in data, AI, customer experience, enterprise transformation and cybersecurity. With recent technology advancements and its knowledge of mission data, ECS aims to inform DHS’s data maturity strategy and implement trusted AI, reducing cognitive load, improving insights and decision-making and helping DHS stay ahead of threats.

    Drew emphasizes mentoring and fostering a growth mindset within his teams, believing that supporting employees leads to creativity, innovation and better customer outcomes.

    “Chris is truly passionate about partnering with our customers to deliver at the highest levels for the DHS mission,” said Greg Adams, senior vice president of Justice and Homeland at ECS. “Every day, he actively fosters collaboration across our teams, ensuring that the best ideas are brought forward and that we continually find new ways to drive innovation.”
