Pamela Merritt
Managing Director of Marketing and Communications, Accenture Federal Services
“As marketers, standing out in the federal market is our mission and this year our team rose to the challenge,” said Pamela Merritt. The team’s biggest achievement was finding new ways to connect more deeply with clients and candidates and bring to life how Accenture Federal Services is helping the federal government on its reinvention journey.
This past year, Accenture Federal Services significantly expanded its technology and innovation capabilities with new investments, ecosystem partnerships, and the acquisition of Cognosante, a digital transformation and cloud modernization solutions company. The team dug deep into data and experimented with new digital and social activations, delivering a significant lift in engagement across web, social and media channels.
The team made a significant impact this year with memorable moments that immersed clients and staff in innovation. At a time when people especially craved connection and community, the team raised the bar on in-person experiences ⏤ from the Tech Expo, which hosted hundreds of clients and colleagues across multiple locations, to intimate executive gatherings that fostered relationships and shared best practices.
Why Watch
With new CEO Ron Ash leading the company’s next chapter, Merritt and her team are joining forces with colleagues across the business to show how the company puts its clients and people at the forefront of change.
“We are lucky to be able to partner with amazing experts in everything from data science to user research to experience design,” she said. “Being able to invite in a constant infusion of fresh ideas and unique skillsets keeps everyone on the team learning and growing.”
Accenture Federal Services Chief Strategy Officer Ira Entis said:
“In a competitive landscape, cutting through the noise can be challenging. Pamela helps us distill our value and show how we provide distinctive outcomes in creative ways and make it clear the value our company provides.”
Fun fact: Merritt grew up in an Air Force family, moving eight times before college. She’s proud of her parents—her dad, a 30-year military veteran, and her mom, a schoolteacher and military spouse—who modeled service, resilience and adaptability.
