ICF won over $40 million in new and recompete contracts in the third quarter of 2024 for several National Institutes of Health institutes and centers.

The contracts leverage ICF’s health, technical and scientific expertise, along with cloud technologies, generative artificial intelligence and advanced analytics.

The work includes IT and data modernization, software development, digital engagement and research to improve health outcomes.

“NIH plays a critical role in advancing medical research and driving innovations that lead to better health outcomes for people worldwide,” said Jennifer Welham, ICF senior vice president for health, people and human services. “We are excited to bring our industry-leading health, technology and data science expertise to continue our longstanding partnership with NIH and drive meaningful improvements in health research, services and the collective body of scientific knowledge.”

    Contract highlights:

    • An $11 million contract to help the National Library of Medicine advance generative AI projects, improve access to unprocessed materials and deliver programming and technical support.
    • Nearly $20 million in contracts and subcontracts to modernize biomedical and cancer research data systems, improve IT operations, deploy agile software development and no-code AI query tools and more.
    • An $11 million subcontract with Banyan Communications to support the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke with communication and digital engagement services through ICF Next.

ICF spent over 50 years supporting health initiatives with nearly all major federal agencies, including those in the Department of Health and Human Services.
