Private equity firm Sagewind Capital LLC announced a majority investment in Sabel Systems Technology Solutions LLC, a federal government provider of digital R&D, acquisition and sustainment solutions.
Sabel was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Dayton, Ohio. Its Digital Engineering Cloud helps the Defense Department accelerate R&D and enhance agility, scalability and connectivity.
The Digital Engineering Cloud harmonizes commercial software and provides access to powerful engineering and business systems applications in one virtual environment, the company said. Today, Sabel and its Digital Engineering Cloud are serving on missions ranging from modeling and simulation, product lifecycle management, the development of cutting-edge manned/unmanned platforms and enterprise-wide compliance.

Sabel Systems is Sagewind’s eighth platform investment in the government technology sector.
