Michael Baker
Vice President & Global Chief Information Security Officer, DXC Technology
DXC Technology marked Cybersecurity Awareness Month this October with the theme #SecureOurWorld, fitting for the company’s global clients and workforce. Michael Baker, along with DXC’s CIO, managing director of global infrastructure services and security services lead, spoke to colleagues across 40-plus countries during the #SecureOurWorld leadership panel.
“It’s important that we are continuously reinforcing good cyber habits throughout the year,” Baker said. “For us to take the month of October to really highlight what our employees are doing to protect our clients, our company, and themselves is something we truly take pride in. This year we expanded our education programs to include a focus on personal cyber safety that our employees can leverage to better protect their households and family members. Cybersecurity is not just about technology; it’s about behavior, awareness and building a culture of security everywhere we go.”
As newly appointed global CISO at DXC, Baker safeguards the brand and reputation of the $14 billion global technology enterprise with 130,000 employees across 80-plus territories. He plans to drive results through a global zero trust program and implement cutting-edge capabilities to counter emerging threats. This ambitious roadmap is continuously reducing DXC’s risk profile while enabling business growth through its agile, customer-centric operating model.
