The finalists for WashingtonExec’s 2024 Pinnacle Awards were announced Sept. 20, and we’ll be highlighting some of them until the event takes place live, in-person Nov. 21.

Next is Rachel Murphy, director of federal healthcare at Iron Bow Technologies, and finalist in the Healthcare Executive of the Year, Private Company, category. Here, she talks about recent achievements, primary focus areas going forward and more.

What key achievements did you have in 2024?

My biggest achievement this year was spearheading the modernization of our healthcare business unit, resulting in a more streamlined and collaborative culture. We now have a robust focus on delivering advanced technology by integrating our two core business offerings: technology solutions and program services.

What are your primary focus areas going forward, and why are those so important to the mission?

In 2024, my team is heavily focused on partnering with federal customers to develop and implement comprehensive digital health strategies. We aim to leverage cutting-edge technologies to enhance patient experiences and reduce provider burdens, driving measurable results.

Fun Fact: What is something about you that most people do not know about?

I am a boy mom, so my life is full of high energy, sports, and humor. To maintain a healthy work/life balance, I dedicate my mornings to early workouts with a group of close friends. This routine motivates me and kick starts a positive daily mindset.
