LMI has secured a $19.6 million contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs to support suicide prevention programs for the Office of Mental Health and Office of Suicide Prevention.
The contract will improve research, improve program evaluation and strengthen the clinical decision-making framework for veteran suicide prevention, according to the company.

Veteran suicide prevention is a top priority for VA. Under the contract, LMI will support VA’s public health approach and help raise awareness that suicide prevention is a collective responsibility.
LMI will support OMH OSP’s mission by:
- Collaborating across agencies to identify top research areas and helping OMH OSP set national research agendas for suicide prevention
- Developing measures to assess the effectiveness of suicide prevention programs and conducting program evaluations for OSP-supported interventions
- Maintaining the Program Evaluation and Resource Center dashboards and databases OMH OSP uses for decision-making, while integrating Oracle Health Millennium electronic health record data into these tools
LMI will also use its data analytics and human-systems integration expertise to help VA make data-driven decisions to better understand and respond to the veteran experience.
