General Dynamics Information Technology and George Mason University have expanded their partnership to bolster career development for students in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cloud and software development.

The partnership strengthens GDITâs efforts to build a diverse, skilled pipeline of technologists in high-demand fields. Itâs also central to the companyâs tech investment strategy, launched last year, which prioritizes employee growth and upskilling.
GMU President Gregory Washington said the school consistently ranks as Virginiaâs top public university for diversity, innovation and programs in cybersecurity, homeland security, and services for veterans and non-traditional students.

GDIT will collaborate with the College of Engineering and Computing and the Costello College of Business to expand recruitment, mentorship programs, networking, tech open houses and capstone projects. It will also offer opportunities for students, faculty and staff to join GDIT events and initiatives, and engage with the Greg and Camille Baroni Center for Government Contracting.
