    Debbie Peterson, MetroStar

    Debbie Peterson

Senior Vice President of People & Culture, MetroStar

Debbie Peterson’s most significant recent achievement includes increasing the company’s veteran representation by 7%, designing internal growth strategies that boosted leadership diversity at MetroStar by 87% and partnering with people leaders across the organization to reduce turnover by 30%.

“MetroStar exemplifies the differentiator People Operations Teams provide when they are strategically aligned and empowered to transform vision into action,” Peterson said.

    Why Watch

In 2024, Peterson and her team are heavily focused on building a strategic talent acquisition and retention program that maximizes MetroStar’s unique culture and fosters engagement, growth and well-being. They are actively reimagining the strategy, processes and plans required to attract and retain the best talent in the industry.

Fun fact: Peterson loves the desert and astronomy. She spent a lot of her childhood classifying and collecting rocks and learning how to navigate the night skies with her dad in southern Utah’s red rock country.
