Anne-Marie Evans
CFO, Xcelerate Solutions
In February, Xcelerate Solutions acquired VMD Corp., tripling the size of Xcelerate and prompting the company to evaluate its systems, processes and a host of operations to determine what is best for the organization — from timekeeping to laptop security.
Internally, Anne-Marie Evans is part of a leadership team treating the acquisition as a merger to facilitate cooperation, collaboration and teamwork across all aspects of the new company.
“It was incredibly rewarding to be part of the team leading the acquisition,” she said. “I am looking forward to leveraging my career experience, on both sides of M&A, to help propel Xcelerate Solutions to new heights.”
Xcelerate Solutions CEO Mark Drever said he has had the honor of working with Evans for over a decade.
“As a working mom, Anne-Marie is an expert multitasker and a consummate professional,” he said. “I am often amazed at how much she accomplishes daily. She is truly nothing short of spectacular.”
Chief Operating Officer Danny Olmes said Evans is one of the hardest-working people he knows.
“I can always count on her to get the job done,” Olmes added.
Why Watch
Evans said her “incredibly dedicated team” embraced change without skipping a beat. They evaluated several new software systems, developed plans for implementation and are rolling out plans for integration of the financial aspects of the new company. The team is also managing its day-to-day responsibilities “admirably and taking on new challenges daily,” she said.
Secondly, Xcelerate is improving internal systems and operations to position the company for exponential growth, she said.
“As a McNally platform company, we are preparing for expansion of our portfolio, market share and team,” Evans said. “We are already seeing both organic and inorganic growth with our recent investments. The finance and accounting team wants to be ‘the supply line ahead of the troops.'”
Fun fact: “I have four energetic kids who not only keep me on my toes but also fill my life with happiness and help me keep balanced,” she said. A former high school cheerleader, Evans loves running and is currently training for the Army 10-miler.
