Chuck Hicks
CFO, Thomson Reuters Special Services, LLC
The past two years at Thomson Reuters Special Services have been transformational, and Chuck Hicks’ financial acumen and phenomenal leadership were an integral part of the company’s steady growth.
Since joining TRSS in 2023, his strategic vision and dedication transformed the company’s finances, positioning TRSS for continued growth. Under his leadership, he increased transparency into the company’s fiscal performance and how it fits into broader corporate goals.
“We want everyone at TRSS to understand how we’re doing, where we’re headed, and how the money works,” Hicks said. “Our employees shouldn’t be confused or unclear of how their efforts drive our culture and results.”
Equipped with the right information and context, TRSS went on to have the best first and second quarters this year in the company’s history. TRSS President Jim Dinkins said, “The increased financial knowledge and acumen he’s provided across the company has been invaluable. It’s allowed us to make more informed and confident decisions throughout the company.”
Why Watch
After dedicating most of his first year to increasing education, communication and streamlining efficiencies, Hicks also focused on supporting the company’s employee resource groups, philanthropy work and a long-held passion for volunteerism.
Hicks is passionate about supporting U.S. military veterans, and he quickly joined the company’s veterans ERG.
“His experience as a Navy veteran, and our company’s shared passion for the military community, are the perfect match, and we’re all excited about what’s to come from that group,” Dinkins said.
Hicks and his team will remain focused on growth in the coming year and anticipate even more success over the next few years.
“We’re already seeing the rewards of the hard work our teams have put in over the last year, and we’re all excited about some of the great opportunities ahead,” he said.
