Registration is underway for the 2024 Technology Good Scout Award luncheon hosted by the National Capital Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

The Oct. 23 event will honor John Mengucci, president and CEO of CACI. Held at Capital One Hall in Tysons Corner, Virginia, the annual recognition spotlights former scouts making an impact in technology and exemplifying the values of the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives.

The reception begins at noon followed by a lunch and program. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

According to his bio, Mengucci’s accomplishments at the $6.7 billion company include evolving CACI to “successfully compete and capture larger opportunities in its market sectors, strengthening customer relationships through the delivery of operational excellence, identifying acquisition opportunities, and leading the integration of acquired companies and capabilities.”

Before joining CACI, Mengucci was president of Lockheed Martin’s Information Systems and Global Solutions – Civil Product Line, where he led a 13,000-person, $4 billion business area.

Mengucci has appeared on both the Executive Mosaic Wash100 list and Virginia Business Magazine’s 500 Power List every year since 2020. He was named one of WashingtonExec’s Top 25 Execs to Watch in 2020 and 2019, and he was selected by FCW to its 2018 Federal 100.

Mengucci serves as a director on the boards of the Spookstock Foundation and Northern Virginia Technology Council, as a member of the Professional Services Council’s Executive Committee and on Clarkson University’s Board of Trustees.

Last year’s honoree was Maximus President and CEO Bruce Caswell.
