Maximus has appointed Mike Raker as chief technology officer to oversee the company’s technology and innovation organization.

“We’re already seeing Mike’s impact in his leadership of the Technology and Innovation organization,” said Derrick Pledger, chief digital and information officer of Maximus. “Mike and his team are laser focused on delivering innovative technologies to support our government clients worldwide. Under his direction, we’ve recently launched two capability accelerators in AI/ML and Customer Experience (CX) and developed their roadmaps to impact across all business segments. Mike’s team has also helped stand up our Global Capability Center (GCC) to further drive growth and excellent operational execution worldwide. We’re excited about this progress and what’s next, including new innovations in core offerings such as our Total Experience Management (TXM) solution.”

The CTO and its team help set Maximus’ strategic technology direction, align technical solutions to enterprise strategy and business needs, drive investments in research and development activities and develop cutting-edge technologies, the company said.

Raker brings experience developing and delivering differentiated technology solutions at scale to governments across the globe. Before Maximus, he served as a vice president at Leidos overseeing the development of the technology and innovation strategy for a large and diverse international software and solutions pipeline. He was also the CTO at product and services scaleups domestically and internationally.

“I’m excited to join Maximus at a pivotal time of technological transformation,” Raker said. “Maximus already has an impressive technology foundation, and I look forward to introducing new digital, cyber, and end-to-end data management solutions. Through continued collaboration, we can leverage technology to better support our customers worldwide.”
