    Randy Bloxsome, Ad Hoc LLC

    Randy Bloxsome

    CFO, Ad Hoc LLC

While Randy Bloxsome is proud of many financial and contractual processes and tools he and his team implemented over the past year, he believes the most impactful one was a cash management process that enabled the company to address immediate challenges and assume a much-improved position.

Bloxsome’s career spans corporate finance roles in both public and private organizations ranging from multibillion-dollar companies to much smaller firms.

“In each endeavor, I have been met with new challenges and opportunities to move the organization forward. My fondest hope is that I have achieved that throughout my professional life,” he said.

“If I have had success to that end, I attribute that to learning early in my career that what organizations truly need is leadership. My belief is that leadership does not just occur, but it takes effort, discipline and perseverance from a team of individuals who truly desire to make the organization a success. The motivation behind that varies across individuals, but when it is there corporately, I have seen organizations flourish in amazing ways, and when it is missing, I have seen the reverse. I feel very blessed to have worked and continue to work with some wonderful and talented people throughout my career and look with anticipation toward our next steps forward.”

    Why Watch

Bloxsome and his team are in the midst of a comprehensive financial and process transformation of the organization to enhance all aspects of its performance and enable the necessary scaling to advance to the next level in the business life cycle. The goal is to impact more than the company’s top and bottom line; the team wants this transformation to help create and maintain a workplace culture highly desired by the company’s employees.

This is arguably one of the greatest challenges for a company: Determining the most effective way to optimize growth while maintaining its culture. Bloxsome and his team believe they have a way to make these elements support each other so the company can continue attracting and retaining exceptional talent from across the country.

“In the year that Randy has been our CFO, he’s played a pivotal role in maturing the organization and transitioning to a large business,” said Greg Gershman, CEO of Ad Hoc. “Randy is the rare leader who is both operational and strategic, adding value both through the team that he has built as well as through collaboration with other executives and teams across the company. His guidance has helped us with both long-term strategic planning as well as navigating near-term challenges, with improvements to everything from our financial planning and forecasting to our cash management. His contributions have been critical to helping us grow and scale as we take on new challenges.”

Fun fact: While attending undergraduate and graduate school, Bloxsome spent several years as a professional water ski and parasail boat driver at youth camps. During that time, the camp had a motto that guaranteed every kid, “We guarantee this will be the best week of your life, or we will give you your money back!” No money was ever returned.
