Catalina Molina
Senior Vice President Enterprise Finance, Amentum
Tapped to lead Amentum’s integration management efforts for finance as the company prepares to merge with Jacobs’ Critical Mission Solutions and Cyber and Intelligence businesses, Catalina Molina said the work will be her most impactful recent achievement.
As head of enterprise finance for Amentum, Molina is responsible for pricing, financial planning and analysis, indirect budgets and rates, and business analytics – all of which are key to a successful transition. Her experience leading FP&A, including standing up a company from a divestiture, followed by two back-to-back multibillion-dollar acquisitions, well positioned her to prepare for this merger and executing a transformational go-public transaction.
“I have been fortunate to be an active participant in the elevational transformation of Amentum over the last decade,” Molina said. “Now, I am very excited to be a part of our next phase as we create a new global systems integration and technology solutions leader and an independent, publicly traded company. There is no better place to grow as a finance professional, and I feel proud to have a shining star team to partner with on all these great accomplishments.”
She isn’t stopping there. Her team is working to expand the company’s digital transformation to a larger global footprint and more diverse portfolio. They look forward to increasing adoption of self-service tools like PowerBI dashboard reporting.
“Program management tools like this are a single-source truth for business KPIs enterprise-wide,” she said.
Why Watch
It’s an exciting time to be a part of Amentum as merger with Jacobs’ Critical Mission Solutions and Cyber and Intelligence businesses is expected to close in the second half of fiscal year 2024, Molina said. The combined company will be a new leader in systems integration and technology solutions with over 53,000 employees in over 80 countries. It will be a publicly traded company with about $13 billion in pro-forma revenue.
“We look forward to further strengthening our trusted partnership with the United States and its allies to modernize their most complex missions around the world,” she said. “As the lead for finance integration, my team and I have been focused on planning for the merger and our Initial Public Offering. I have a great team, and I’m proud of how they’ve remained agile as we’ve adjusted to balance the additional integration planning work while remaining focused on executing the delivery of our annual financial targets.”
Amentum Chief Financial Officer Travis Johnson had high praise for Molina.
“The finance field is ever evolving through factors like digitization, big data and analytics, and Catalina’s leadership brings the perspective, creativity and expertise to advance Amentum’s financial strategy as we move towards our bright future,” Johnson said.
