Riverside Research had experienced double-digit year-over-year growth, winning every recompete they were eligible for in 2023. To support such growth, Kathie Powers expanded her department and mentored and developed what she describes as “a wonderful team of financial experts.”
“This is one of the most rewarding parts of my job, and I’m very proud of our team,” she said.

Why Watch
In 2024, Powers’ team is heavily focused on laying the foundation for new financial reporting software systems and platforms, which will launch in 2025. This software will provide enhanced forecasting, project reporting dashboards and more, giving all Riverside Research employees access to the most important and timely reports and information available. Continuously improving such processes allows Riverside Research to do more for the customer in the most efficient way possible, Powers said.

Fun fact: “Most people don’t know that I was a flautist in the Army Command Band,” she said. ” I’m proud to be a veteran and look back fondly on my time in the band, where I spent more than nine months out of the year traveling. In addition to performing as a flautist, I was also a vocalist and played piccolo and piano in the band for over three years.”
