    John Bergeron, CACI

    John Bergeron

Senior Vice President for the Technology Innovation & Labs, CACI

John Bergeron spearheads CACI’s growing technology portfolio and is responsible for more than 1,300 employees within the National Security and Innovative Solutions business for the company. Upon joining CACI in January, Bergeron’s primary focus has been on solving the nation’s toughest challenges in national security using signals intelligence, electronic warfare, cyber, radio frequency and optical communications.

Most recently, Bergeron and CACI celebrated a new optical communications technology milestone in which its technology was used to send data from deep space to Earth traveling more than 200 million kilometers. CACI has a total of 27 optical communications terminals currently in low-Earth orbit for the Defense Department and other U.S. government customers. The company repeatedly demonstrated successful space-to-space and space-to-ground optical communications for proliferated LEO applications.

“Our latest accomplishment truly was a ‘first for mankind.’ We continue to prove that we can effectively design and manufacture this technology here in America and it be the only Space Development Agency (SDA)-compliant system on the market,” Bergeron said. “I am deeply proud and honored to have joined CACI at such a pivotal moment in its 60-plus-year history where software-defined solutions are taking center stage.”

    Why Watch

In 2024 and beyond, Bergeron is focused on expanding CACI’s technology offerings to U.S. allied countries. For example, the company recently announced a partnership with the Canadian Armed Forces to deploy counteruncrewed aerial systems to defeat threats such as small drones.

“As threats evolve and near-peer adversaries have greater access to weapons, we believe that our superior, proven technologies will ensure our warfighters have an unfair advantage on the battlefield,” Bergeron said.

Bergeron joined CACI following an extensive 30-year career in building and synchronizing technology portfolios. Most notably, he stood up a new Global Services business for Teledyne FLIR where he focused on product support for global surveillance technology. Prior to that, Bergeron spent over 15 years at Raytheon delivering industry-leading products and services for the Integrated Defense Systems business across 31 locations worldwide.

“John is a seasoned manger with expertise in taking technology from development to production at scale for both commercial and government customers,” said NSIS President Todd Probert. “We are honored to have him join our team bringing his experience and aptitude to our thriving technology business.”
