    Steven Kutscher, KGS

    Steven Kutscher

Vice President of Contracts, Koniag Government Services

Steven Kutscher expanded the contracts team to more than 10 professionals in under three years to support the tremendous growth of Koniag Government Services. He’s also proud that since he joined the company six years ago, the contracts department maintained zero voluntary turnover, ensuring stability and continuity within the team.

“I strive to make a positive difference in the lives of others, which is why I am honored to work for a company that embodies the Share the Catch philosophy of our parent company Koniag, Inc.,” Kutscher said. “I also encourage and support our team to maintain a positive work-life balance.”

    Why Watch

In 2024, his team is focusing on automating key contract processes to boost productivity, allowing employees to spend more time supporting customers. They’re transitioning from an in-house contracts management system to a new accounting/contracts system, including data migration and integration. They’re also working with all departments to help KGS grow, especially in new markets and government agencies.

“Steven has consistently met the challenge of supporting a rapidly growing organization while ensuring our tools and processes are updated and efficient,” said Denise Bailey, chief administrative officer for KGS. “His leadership has been instrumental in maintaining the high standards of the Contracts Department and facilitating KGS’s expansion into new markets and agencies.”

Fun fact: As a life-long pizza lover, Kutscher has perfected the homemade pie from scratch. “I’m also one of the COVID sourdough people,” he added.
