Senior Vice President of Contracts, Federal Solutions, Parsons

Jai Spivey’s highest recent achievement was building an outstanding contracts team at Federal Solutions, Parsons Corp.

Brendan Murphy, senior vice president and deputy general counsel – Federal Solutions, said Spivey is a “dynamic leader at Parsons.”

“She is committed to delivering high quality contracts support to our Federal Solutions business,” he added.

    Why Watch

Many issues the industry faces in contracting can be resolved by developing meaningful, transparent relationships, she said.

“My team and I remain hyper focused on listening to feedback from our customers and quickly adapting to meet their needs,” she said. “We strive to develop collaborative partnerships that facilitate quick responses to future problems.”

Spivey’s favorite question to ask is “How do I get better?”

“It speaks to the continued growth that we should all seek as we journey through life,” she said. “Learning this concept was quite possibly one of the most motivating ideas to adopt in my career. It erased the perceived boundaries associated with my title and challenged me to focus on pursuing learning opportunities that increased my knowledge base.”

Fun fact: Parsons celebrated 80 years this June, and Spivey’s team celebrated with an ’80s-themed lunch party. “I’ve never understood why leg warmers were a thing and said I would never wear them,” she said. “Well, for the 80s-themed party, I did the unthinkable – and now there is picture proof that I wore leg warmers.”
