Mario Orsini’s team had a banner year in 2023, receiving three “Superior,” three “Commendable” and one “Satisfactory” rating from the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency. The team also averaged a 99.5% Security Award Fee rating.
Nightwing CEO John DeSimone said Orsini has been a cornerstone of the company’s success throughout his tenure.
“His recent leadership in ensuring a flawless migration to our new business, all while upholding our stringent security standards, is nothing short of remarkable,” DeSimone said. “Mario is an exceptional CSO whose expertise is vital to our collective achievements.”

In 2024, Orsini’s security team is heavily focused on customer, mission and business enablement. The team is looking for creative ways to achieve success with security not being a limiting factor but an enabling factor.
“Some parts of Security are black and white, but the most successful security officers are those who know how to operate in the gray,” Orsini said.
He said he is very proud of the diversity on the team and wants to continue to strive for that.
Fun fact: Orsini is a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast. He’s ridden in 49 states, 10 countries and five Canadian provinces.
