    Jeff Raver, SAIC

    Jeff Raver

Vice President of ESG Integration, SAIC

Jeff Raver is proud of his team’s accomplishments in establishing and executing a 3-year ESG strategy within SAIC. They made significant progress advancing their commitment to governance, environmental sustainability and culture, as well as leaning into disclosures and messaging around this progress.

Outside work, Raver has a passion for traveling, seeing the world and embedding himself in other cultures. He believes that in some ways, this passion contributes to his dedication for ESG. Raver’s exposure to people with a wide variety of experiences and backgrounds have given him an appreciation for the importance that different perspectives can have on generating better overall outcomes.

“As a society, I worry that it is too easy for us to become trapped in an echo chamber where we are only exposed to other like-minded perspectives,” he said. “Expanding our networks, becoming an ally to those with differing views and treating each other with grace are all important lessons I have learned through my travels.”

    Why Watch

As a systems integrator and technical service provider, SAIC’s workforce and culture are critical to helping customers achieve their missions. The importance of the “social” element of ESG led Raver’s team to create a supplemental strategy around diversity, equity and inclusion.

Although engagements around DE&I at SAIC are not new, Raver’s focus in 2024 is creating a comprehensive approach that reinforces the importance of diversity and inclusion as it relates to increased innovation and better solutions for customers.

Raver’s team strives to continue advancing the strategy of embedding DEI into the company’s culture, where customers can see a reflection of themselves within the workforce and the workforce can see a reflection of themselves in their leadership.

“I am incredibly proud of our SAIC commitment to ESG, our accomplishments and continued focus on sustaining the environment, creating a culture that attracts and retains the best talent and ensures we are governed in a way that delivers impeccable service to our customers,” he said. “Although the term ‘ESG’ has sometimes become politicized, the foundational elements of environmental, social and governance continue to be critical to the overall success of our business.”
