Rob Vietmeyer worked to define and publish the groundbreaking criteria for the Continuous Authority to Operate process, a pivotal step in modernizing and securing software development within the Defense Department.

In 2024, Vietmeyer’s team is heavily focused on improving the security of DOD’s software supply chain by establishing comprehensive standards for software trustworthiness, integrating secure software development practices and implementing Software Bill of Materials management practices.
