    David Blythe

    Director of Pricing, Parsons Corp.

David Blythe recently revamped his pricing team to align better with the company’s various business units. He ensured each unit has a designated primary contact, while maintaining a versatile team of pricing analysts proficient across all areas. This restructuring gives each business unit’s leadership confidence its projects will receive dedicated attention.

“David understands how pricing is such an integral part of business which has in turn enabled him to lead his team in providing value added support to the business,” said Ashay Dalvi, senior vice president of federal solutions finance at Parsons.

“Over the past year, David has restructured his team to align with the businesses’ goals and visions. His strategic leadership and understanding of long-term growth strategy has led to innovative and competitive pricing solutions, resulting in wins in this arena. David’s responsiveness and proactiveness have led to Parsons’ success.”

    Why Watch

Blythe’s goals for his team in 2024 are to create new pricing strategies for different business areas and to keep updating pricing tools, methods and processes. His team needs to keep up with changes in the market to help other teams build successful competitive strategies.

“My pricing team encounters challenges every day,” he said. “I emphasize staying away from ‘no’ as an answer when faced with an uncertain pricing strategy. No matter how unusual the request may be, they must always rise to find a path to ‘yes.'”
